Learning & Performance

Helping individuals and organizations create learning experiences that are practical, engaging, and grounded in adult learning research.

My philosophy

My educational philosophy centers on the belief that adults learn best when their experiences, autonomy, and goals shape the learning process. Grounded in Adult Learning Theory, I design environments that encourage a growth mindset, normalize experimentation, and support confidence through purposeful challenge. Experiential learning provides authentic opportunities to apply ideas, while reflection helps learners transform those experiences into insight and intentional action. I integrate AI as a thoughtful learning partner—an accessible tool that enhances creativity, scaffolds complex tasks, and empowers adults to build skills with greater clarity and momentum. Together, these elements create learning experiences that are human‑centered, adaptive, and aligned with the evolving needs of adult learners.

my approach

I believe effective learning happens when complex ideas become clear, practical, and immediately useful. My work combines adult learning theory, instructional design, process improvement, and emerging technology to help people build skills they can apply with confidence

ai as an adaptive learning coach

This case study demonstrates how AI can serve as an adaptive learning partner in authentic, real-world learning. Rather than following a traditional tutorial, I used AI to navigate the challenges of building a WordPress website, receiving just-in-time guidance that evolved with my understanding. The experience illustrates how thoughtful use of AI, combined with adult learning principles, can accelerate learning while fostering confidence, independence, and transferable problem-solving skills.

learning strategies for adults in the ai era

This course introduces adult learners to research-based strategies for learning more effectively in today’s rapidly changing world. Grounded in adult learning theory and cognitive science, the course explores how learning works, evidence-based techniques such as retrieval practice and spaced learning, and the use of AI as a learning partner. Learners also discover how adopting a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) mindset and building sustainable learning habits can reduce overwhelm, encourage continuous improvement, and support lifelong learning. By the end of the course, participants will have practical tools they can immediately apply to learn new skills with greater confidence and success.

time management for busy adults

Effective time management is not about doing more—it’s about making steady progress on what matters most. This course helps adult learners develop practical strategies to prioritize tasks, overcome procrastination, and build sustainable routines that fit busy lives. Drawing on adult learning principles and supported by AI-powered planning tools, participants will learn techniques such as time blocking, task chunking, and minimum viable progress (MVP) to reduce overwhelm, increase productivity, and achieve their personal and professional goals.
